A Fort Mill native, Cathy graduated Cum Laude from the University of South Carolina in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. She earned her law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2000.

Prior to joining Hamilton Martens & Ballou, LLC in 2005, Cathy practiced with Kennedy Covington Lobdell & Hickman where she focused in real estate development and finance. She has experience in negotiating and closing a variety of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions and financing transactions. Cathy is a member of the York County and South Carolina Bar Associations and is on the Board of Directors of the Rock Hill Economic Development Corporation. Cathy is the member in charge of the Firm's Fort Mill office.
